The purpose of the survey is collecting quantitative fine-grained information on B-Corporations – specific population of social business hybrids. The survey aimed to cover the overall population of B-Corporations, to have heterogeneity in terms of countries and industrial sectors. This was administered to the companies between June and December 2017 in the USA, Europe, and UK (with two recalls – a second wave of the survey has been launched in Canada and South America) and the main respondents were the entrepreneurial founder(s). The questionnaire (pre-tested on a sample of hybrid entrepreneurs) consisted of four different sections aiming at collecting fine-grained information on these companies.

The four sections include information on:

  1. Company’s and founder(s) information,
  2. Company’s strategy and innovation activities,
  3. B-Corp Certification and organization of the activities
  4. Values and identity of founder(s) and companies.
